A unique wine from an obscure grey skinned grape, originally from the Jura.  The grapes are the only planting in CA, from a 40 year old vineyard in the Russian River Valley. Fermented with native yeast on the skins for five days to extract color, flavor and texture, then aged in neutral barrels for 6 months.  Similar to the 2017 and 2018 releases, this vintage is destemmed, allowing a fresh and vibrant expression.

Farmed organically.  Native to southern France, the name means ‘lip stinger’ – a naturally high acid white grape perfect for our wine style. This 6 barrel lot was fermented and aged in 50% stainless steel, and 50% neutral puncheon (double sized barrel) for 8 months. Mouthwatering acidity, weight and aromatics. 12.1% alc.

“Centime” = French for copper penny, is our full skin contact series, in 2018 we switched to Vermentino.  The grapes are destemmed and fermented on the skins for 10 days, aged in neutral oak 10 months. This is a non traditional orange wine, at 10.3% alc, light and fresh, textural. A great introduction to the orange wine movement.. 50 cases made.

Our first canned wine! and sparkling as a bonus!

Inspired by our baby mini Donkey, Luna, born 4 days before Shelter in Place began. Since then she has been bucking every day around 5 pm, heralding in happy hour - its really bucking cute.  Made from kick ass organic  grapes - 75% Cinsault, and 25% carbonic Carignan.

Enjoy this 10.5% alc, tongue tickling summer treat - it's bright, dry, fresh and zippy!  Drink from the can, with a stainless straw, or pour into a glass and share. Perfect for the beach, picnic, or movie theater!

Named by Alder Yarrow of Vinography "Therefore this can of wine can rightfully be described as Kick-Ass Organic Southern-Rhone Party-in-a-Can. It’s delicious, and is not only the best sparkling red wine I’ve ever had from California, it’s the best sparkling red I’ve had that isn’t one of the new-wave Lambruscos that are deservedly turning heads among the wine cognoscenti."

Dolce and Sofia, our affable miniature Sicilian donkeys inspired this wine. Destemmed and left on the skins to start a native yeast fermentation, then after 5 days pressed to finish fermentation and aged in neutral French barrels. The 5 days of skin contact impart a copper hue, reminiscent of Italian Ramato. The taste is uniquely its own, landing somewhere between an orange wine and a rosé.

Fun and fresh, with lingering savory notes. A wine as unique as our Dolce. Hee Haw!

 From the famed 135 year old Bechthold Vineyard in Lodi,  the oldest surviving Cinsault Vineyard in the world. This dry farmed, organic vineyard has very low yield, and produces a very complex expression of this variety, normally best as a blending grape.

Always 100% whole cluster, foot tread, fermented with native yeast in small ½ ton bins. Gently pressed to neutral barrel to age on heavy lees for 10 months, then bottled.  A thought provoking wine Eric Asimov of the NY Times called an example of “delightful, delicious wine from under-appreciated grapes." 

Unfortunately only 1.5 barrels, 30 cases crafted in 2016.

Its back!!

Inspired by our kitten, Wiley, a carbonic soul. A true carbonic carignan, sealed in tank for 2.5 weeks, then pressed back to stainless to finish fermenting and aged 4 months. Intense fresh berry aromatics leap out of the glass, both complex & fun flavors, that belie its youthfulness.

Our 4th release of Vermentino (also known as Rolle in Southern France.) This 11 barrel, 275 case lot was fermented and aged in 50% stainless steel, and 50% neutral barrel for 6 months. Fresh and gulpable, mouthwatering acidity, and nice weight, texture that belies the low 11.1% alcohol. Organically farmed, no additions save a small amount of sulfur.
