2021 Vermentino

Windmill Vineyard - Organic

Our 7th release of Vermentino (also known as Rolle in Southern France.) This 8 barrel, 200 case lot was fermented and aged in 50% stainless steel, and 50% neutral barrel for 6 months. Fresh and gulpable, mouthwatering acidity, and nice weight, and a texture that belies the low 11.5% alcohol. Organically farmed, no additions save a small amount of sulfur.

Our 2019 vintage was featured in April 2020 in the San Francisco Chronicle by Esther Mobley and in September 2020 by Michelle Williams in Forbes as one of the "Six Reasons To Fall In Love With Vermentino", highlighting its "tension between refreshing and rich texture with the palate winning, crafted of organic fruit, low intervention, only sulfur added at bottling."
