“Centime” harkens back to France's copper penny, and celebrates our full skin-contact series (aka orange wine). The grapes are destemmed and fermented on the skins for 12 days, then aged in neutral oak 10 months. This is a non traditional orange wine, and at 11.5% alc, is light and fresh, while still textural. If you've always been curious about orange wines, but not a fan of oxidized wines, this is a great introduction to the style!
If you've been enjoying our Centime wines for a while, you may have noticed a change. Since 2018, we've focused on Vermentino, and the 2020 vintage introduces 20% Picpoul, blended with the Vermentino. Prior to the 2018 vintage, Grenache Blanc was featured. The Centime penny has gone through some changes as well, until it was withdrawn in 2002, when France switched over to the Euro. Long live Centime!
