2014 Carignan Magnum
Magnum
Magnum! Only 12 made.
Our first ever Carignan, and we couldn't be more delighted. As you might expect from Two Shepherds, a completely different expression of this variety. Light, bright, vibrant, with a hint of structure from some whole cluster during fermentation. Light red in color, only 12.3% alcohol. More akin to Cru Beaujolais from Burgundy, than a Rhone.
Farmed at the Trimble Vineyard in Mendocino, this gorgeous 75 year old block is head trained, dry farmed, and organically certified.
