“Centime” harkens back to France's copper penny, and celebrates our full skin-contact series (aka orange wine). The grapes are destemmed and fermented on the skins for 12 days, then aged in neutral oak 10 months. This is a non traditional orange wine, and at 11.5% alc, is light and fresh, while still textural. If you've always been curious about orange wines, but not a fan of oxidized wines, this is a great introduction to the style! This vintage introduces 20% Picpoul, blended with the Vermentino.
The latest release of our most popular orange wine, unfortunately in shorter supply this year with vineyard yield down 50% from drought. This also contributes to this vintage being a slightly darker, almost red color, and a more intense savory notes.
Dolce and Sofia, our affable miniature Sicilian donkeys inspired this wine. Destemmed and left on the skins to start a native yeast fermentation, then after 5 days pressed to finish fermentation and aged in neutral French barrels. The 5 days of skin contact impart a copper hue, reminiscent of Italian Ramato. The taste is uniquely its own, landing somewhere between an orange wine and a rosé. Fun and fresh, with lingering savory notes. A wine as unique as our Dolce. Hee Haw!
Trousseau Gris is an insanely rare variety, only one verified planting in CA, the gray skinned variant originally from the Jura. Just released to be included in our holiday bundles.
This is a rare variant of this varietal for us, made with no skin contact at all, and the last time we did it. Technically not an orange wine at all, but given the varietals popularity with that crowd, we are tagging it as white and orange! Only 1 barrel, 25 cases made.

The 2017 release is 100% Grenache Blanc from the Russian River Valley, Sonoma. This is out final release of Centime as Grenache Blanc, with the switch to Vermentino for 2018+.

Highlighted in Forbes by Michelle Williams' article What's The Deal With Orange Wine? as as wine "demonstrating the age-ability of this category" with "structure, depth, and elegance uncommon in this category. Food pairings only limited by imagination."
Rosé returns after a hiatus, with our first ever rosé of Mourvedre, a wine we enjoy greatly when done well, but had not yet tried our hand at it. Suffice to say we are in love, and plan to repeat.
