For 9 years we have been hoarding cases of the wines we make each year. It seemed a great idea, but we have frankly completely run out of space, and its time to share these wines.
As part of our ongoing expansion we are also having to invest in a new wine press - its simply no longer feasible to process 60+ tons in a 1 ton press - so we are investing in a new 6 ton press, that will carry us through our next years of growth.
To make space and raise some capital, we are offering a myriad of our small lots wines from 2012-2015 at special 20-50% discounts. Some of the wines there are 2 cases or less!
We have tasted ALL wines to make sure they meet our high standard. As our regular fans know, our wines age very well, especially our whites.
Note: do NOT use the sorting function (by price, name etc) or (for some reason) it doesnt show all the wines.
A brand new, first ever, somewhat unorthodox blend, that unlike our other blends has no rules. 50% Mourvedre, 17% Syrah, 17% Carignan, 16% Roussanne. A perfect light, holiday fare wine, with bright red fruit, cranberry notes. Great with a slight chill, only 11.5% alcohol.
Our newest release of our Pastoral Rouge Grenache blend may be the most elegant yet. Burgundy meets the Rhone in our flagship blend, which William calls an “anti Châteauneuf-du-Pape.” 40% Grenache, 27% Mourvèdre, 33% Syrah. 50% Whole cluster. Layered with bright red fruits, pomegranate, savory notes, lingering acid and hint of soft tannin. 12.5% alcohol.
Flagship red blend of 40% Grenache, 40% Mourvedre, and 20% Syrah. Grenache and Syrah from the cool climate, highly sought Saralee’s Vineyard in Russian River Valley, Mourvedre, from the esteemed Rhone vineyards of Ron Mansfield in El Dorado. An elegant, savory blend.
70 cases made.
The return of mourvedre from the granatic soils of El Dorado, farmed by Rhone Legend Ron Mansfield. Easy drinking, red comfort wine, subtle and restrained. Layered with plum, hibiscus, spice and slight saline finish. 12.5% alcohol.
The latest release of one our most popular reds returns to the softer style of 2012. From the estemmed Saralee's Vineyard in the Russian River Valley, Grenache is an unusual find here in the cool climate region, planted on a hillside adjacent to Pinot Noir.
Enjoy this elegant wine with bright strawberry notes.
