Do NOT let the age of this wine fool you, it's showing insanely young and vibrant. Roussanne is a variety, that when well made, easily lasts 10+ years.
Our current release of our flagship white Rhone blend. Keeping with tradition, the primary variety is Roussanne (45%) blended with 30% Marsanne, 20% Viognier, and 5% Grenache Blanc.
This year's complex blend is 12.5% alcohol (difficult to achieve in a balanced Roussanne) and is bright and textured, yet aromatic and complex. Bottled aged for 4 years!
Enjoy during dungeness crab season on the west coast, and also pairs beautifully with lobster, scallops and similar fare.
From the esteemed Saralee's Vineyard, Russian River planting, this small less than 1 acre planting of Roussanne is the only one in the entire AVA. The cool climate creates a bright expression of Roussanne, while keeping its richer texture.
Still showing well and bright, but at its peak, we have over hoarded this wine saving it for an event this year we can't have, so selling it at a price to move and consume.
Aged in 20% concrete, 20% stainless steel, and 60% neutral barrel. Vibrant acidity combined with elegant texture & mouthfeel. 12.3% alc.
