This special 75 case lot from the famed 135 year old Bechthold Vineyard in Lodi, is believed to be the oldest surviving Cinsault Vineyard in the world. This dry farmed, organic vineyard has very low yield, and produces a very complex expression of this variety, normally best as a blending grape.
100% whole cluster, foot tread, fermented with native yeast in small ½ ton bins. Gently pressed to neutral barrel to age on heavy lees for 9 months, then bottled. A thought provoking wine Eric Asimov of the NY Times called “pure, deep, ... super delicious.” 13.3% alc

Our first vintage of Meunie, and our first red non Rhone! Debuting a new label in our farm house series, our goats join the wine family. This variety is rarely found as a still wine, and often abused when it is. Its a delicate wine that doesn't respond well to heavy oak, thus perfectly suited for our light hand. Light and silky in texture, drinks well with a slight chill. 12.3% alc.
Our first ever Carignan, and we couldn't be more delighted. As you might expect from Two Shepherds, a completely different expression of this variety. Light, bright, vibrant, with a hint of structure from some whole cluster during fermentation. Light red in color, only 12.3% alcohol. More akin to Cru Beaujolais from Burgundy, than a Rhone.
Farmed at the Trimble Vineyard in Mendocino, this gorgeous 75 year old block is head trained, dry farmed, and organically certified.
The vineyard is 75 years old, head trained, dry farmed, certified organic. Elegant and aromatic, light in color, with a hint of structure from 30% whole cluster, perhaps more akin to Morgan/ Cru Beaujolais than Carignan. 12.5 % alcohol.
100% Grenache from the esteemed Saralee's Vineyard. Cool climate Grenache is a rare, and unique style, producing a Grenache of elegance, poise, grace and structure.
The 2013 Grenache has been built to last, picked early for higher acidity, whole cluster fermented for soft structure from stem inclusion.
From the estemmed Saralee's Vineyard in the Russian River Valley, Grenache is an unusual find here in the cool climate region, planted on a hillside adjacent to Pinot Noir.
Enjoy this elegant wine with bright strawberry notes.
Cool climate Syrah is a wonderful expression of the more elegant side of Syrah. Though Russian River Valley is dominated by Pinot Noir, its warm days and cool foggy nights provide a perfect growing environment for Syrah achieving a perfect balance of ripeness and acidity.
The 2011 vintage was one of the most challenging in decades for Russian River, cold, reduced sunlight, late ripening and mildew and rain pressure made it a nail biting harvest, but the end result was worth the hard work and perseverance. This is the one of the few Saralee’s Vineyard designate Syrah made, enjoy!
This very small lot (25 cases) of Syrah from the famed Saralee's Vineyard and Mourvedre from Windsor Oaks Vineyard showcases an elegant, delicate expression of these varieties. Brick red in color, with notes of black cherry and blackcurrant. Pairs well with charcuterie and sharp cheeses. 12.2% alc
In 2014 we lost Flash, our beloved 15 year old Australian Shepherd. Flash was a gentle, noble soul who touched the hearts of all who knew him.
This unique blend is a tribute to the love he inspired, crafted from portions of two of our favorite barrels of Grenache and Syrah, from the esteemed Saralee's Vineyard.
Reflecting his personality, the Grenache is graceful and poised, the Syrah, noble and expressive.
We invite you to share a glass with someone you love.
